Sebastien Boko

Born in 1984 in Benin, Sébastien Boko emerges as a self-taught artist, attaining the status of an artist through cooptation. Hailing from Agonli Covè, his father, a skilled sculptor, initiates young Boko into the art of sculpture, marking the beginning of a thoughtful and evolving artistic journey.

Boko's inspiration is rooted in the imagination and symbols of Benin's culture, notably from Gèlèdé. Guided by a rich family heritage, he aspires to transcend conventions while preserving the deep roots of his culture.
